NIkita Alexeev
Nikita Sergeyevich Alexeev is a professional ice hockey player who was born on December 27, 1981 in Murmansk, Soviet Union. He is currently known as one of the players for Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL or Kontinental Hockey League.
Alexeev started playing professional ice hockey when he signed up to play for the Erie Otters, which is a part of the Ontario Hockey League. He spent 2 years playing for the team before he was drafted in 2000 by Tampa Bay Lightning. Unfortunately, due to a shoulder injury, Alexeev managed to play for two seasons in the NHL before sitting out the rest of the 2003-2004 season.
Overall, Alexeev has played in the Ontario Hockey League, American Hockey League, National Hockey League, Russian Superleague, and of course the Kontinental Hockey League.
Since signing up with the Ak Bars Kazan team in 2007, Alexeev was able to help the team win the Gagarin Cup and even scored the winning goal for the team in 2010.
