Galimov is in just his first KHL season in 2010-11, earning his spot with two impressive outings in the MHL. He broke into the Russian junior league with Reaktor Nizhnekamsk in 2009, scoring 10 points and 69 penalty minutes in his first season. He had 9 goals, 13 points and 28 penalty minutes in just 24 games with the club before being called up to the KHL early in the season.
