Denis Sokolov

Denis Sokolov is a Russian defenseman on Automobilist Ekaterinburg.

Sokolov actually began his pro hockey career with the team he currently plays for in 1993, playing in one game with the team before joining Dynamo Energia Ekaterinburg the following season. He played three years in that organization before joining Ak Bars Kazan for two seasons. In 2003, he signed with Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, where he played four seasons, and set career highs with 6 goals and 19 points in 2005-06. He matched his career high with 19 points during a season he spent with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, and spent a season in Sibir Novosibirsk before re-joining Automobilist Ekaterinburg for the 2010-11 season.
