Lauris Darzins
Lauris Darzins is a Latvian winger on Dinamo Riga.
Darzins was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2003, after posting 30 points in 26 games with Lukko's junior teams in the Finnish junior leagues. He then played two seasons in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets, putting up 77 points over 100 games. He returned to Europe in 2006, and spent the next few seasons in the SM-Liiga, Belarusian pro league and Czech Extraliga, playing with Ilves, HC Vsetin, HC Trinec and Gomel. He joined Dinamo Riga in 2008, and had 8 goals and 17 points in his first KHL season, and set career highs with 14 goals and 31 points in 2009-10.
Darzins was a member of the 2010 Latvian Olympic team.
