Aleksandr Nizivijs
Aleksandrs Nizivijs is a Latvian winger on Dinamo Riga.
Nizivijs beagn his pro career with Pardaugava Riga in 1993, when the team was in the Russian Superleague. He then played six seasons with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, where he had a couple of solid seasons. In 1996-97, he had 21 points, a feat he would match in 1999-00. He spent 2001-02 with Dynamo Moscow, and had just 6 points in 40 games with the club. He bounced around a bit over the next few seasons, making stops in Latvia, Sweden and the Russian Second League, before signing with Dinamo Riga in 2008. He was immediately named an alternate captain, and has remained in that position ever since. He had a career high 12 goals and 36 points in 2009-10.
Nizivijs was a member of the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Latvian Olympic teams, as well as a numbe of World Championship clubs.
