Nikita Pivtsakin

Nikita Pivtsakin is a Russian defenseman on Avangard Omsk.

Pivtsakin is another very young talent on Avangard Omsk, currently playing in his second season with the club. He split time between the KHL and the MHL last season, and has played nearly all of the 2010-11 season with Omsk's senior team. Through his first 32 games with the club, he has recorded just 1 assist and 16 penalty minutes. In 2009, he was drafted by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL, but has yet to leave Russia to pursue pro hockey in North America.
