Evgeny Medvedev
Evgeny Medvedev is a Russian defenseman on Ak Bars Kazan.
Medvedev began his career playing in his hometown of Chelyabinsk in 1998. He made his pro debut with Mechel Chelyabinsk in 2002, but returned to the lower-tier leagues the following season. In 2005, he joined the Russian Super League for good, posting 9 points and 54 penalty minutes in his first full season with Severstal Cherepovets. He set a career high with 115 penalty minutes the following year, and signed with Ak Bars Kazan in 2007. He put up a career high 25 points in '07-08, and helped the club win back to back championships in 2009 and 2010.
