Denis Platonov

Denis Platonov is a Russian right winger on Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Platonov was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2001, after scoring 11 goals and 17 points in his second season with Crystall Saratov. He joined Ak Bars Kazan in 2002, and scored 17 points and 49 penalty minutes during his first season in the Russian SuperLeague. He spent the next two years with the club, before joining Magnitogorsk in 2005. He's had the most productive seasons of his career with the team, setting a career high with 17 goals and 87 penalty minutes in 2006-07, helping the team win the league championship. The following year, he set a career high with 27 points. For the 2010-11 season, he was named one of the alternate captains for Magnitogorsk.
