Born on July 9, 1977, Richard Finch is an English golfer who plays on the European Tour. He turned professional in 2003 and currently has two wins in the tour. The 33 year-old started playing golf at the age of ten after an uncle lent him a set of cut down golf clubs.

Finch earned his card for the tour through qualifying school in 2004 and he has been playing on the tour since 2005. In his first season Finch finished 60th on the Order of Merit. His first professional win was in 2007 when he won the Michael Hill New Zealand Open by shooting a 14 under par total of 274. He bagged another victory a year later in the 2008 European Tour season which landed him on his best finish of 20th on the Order of Merit. He nearly won the Avantha Masters in 2010, which saw Finch and the eventual winner Andrew Dodt change hands for the lead several times before Dodt sank five birdies against one bogey to win with a 14 under par. He also made another second place finish at the Open de Andalucia.

Finch has three amateur titles under his belt, the Spanish Amateur Open Championship in 2000, the English Amateur in 2002 and the St. Andrews Links Trophy in 2003. His two professional wins are the Michael Hill New Zealand Open title in 2007, and the Irish Open in 2008 which he won by defeating Felipe Aguilar. Finch currently resides in Mere, Cheshire, England.
