Brad Faxon, an American professional golfer, has won 8 times on the PGA Tour and had played twice on the US Ryder Cup team. He is considered to be among the best pure putters of all time – in golf, anyway. He is also considered to be among the most successful players to have played on the PGA Tour all throughout the 1990s; thus, he is featured and is, in fact, a mainstay in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings.
He was born on August 1, 1961 in Oceanport, New Jersey.

He is not the best player in the field – he knows it and readily admits it. In fact, as of the 2010 PGA Tour Rankings for the first few months of the year, he even ranks 181st in terms of driving distance and 92nd in driving accuracy. Yet, he continues to play, earning his millions (more than $10 million). He even ranks 38th based on career earnings on the PGA Tour. This success is often attributed to his putting skills while he insists that it is due to confidence.
Faxon has created a junior golf foundation which aims to be and teaching and learning center for interested kids; this foundation holds annual tournaments in Rhode Island. He also runs the Billy Andrade/Brad Faxon Charities for Children, Inc. along with Billy Andrade.
As a veteran golf player, Faxon will be serving as analyst for NBC beginning 2010 – including in some of the games and tournaments where he will be playing in. He also serves as host for the CVS Charity Classic along with Billy Andrade.
