Steven Craig Alker is a professional golfer hailing from New Zealand. He was born on July 28, 1971 in Hamilton, New Zealand. The pride of New Zealand stands at 5 ft 11 in and weighs 140 lb. and was known to play in a lot of tours.
Alker became a professional golfer in 1995 and has been a member of the PGA Tour of Australasia since then. He has competed on several tours around the world as well. He played in the European Tour in 1998 and 1999 and competed in Europe’s developmental Challenge Tour in 1999. Alker won the Canadian Tour Order of Merit in 2000 before he moved on to the United States in order to compete in the Nationwide Tour of 2002. He has been successful enough in his tours to move up to the full PGA tour in 2003. However, he was unable to retain his card and returned to the development tour for the years 2004 to 2006. In 2007 and 2008, Alker was back in Europe to compete on the European and Challenge Tours.

All in all he has nine professional victories. The latest of which happened at the 2009 HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship where he was able to shot back to back 5 under par 67’s on the weekend in order to end at 15 under par and win by 2 strokes. The win gave him a two year exemption on both the PGA tour of Australasia and the Nationwide Tour.
