Jon Rahm Rodríguez was born on November 10, 1994 in Barrika, Biscay, Spain. Nicknamed, “Rhampbo”, he currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona in the United States where he is married to Kelley Cahill. Rahm is of Swiss ancestry and he is a football fan, supporting the Athletic Club Bilbao.
Career
Rahm turned pro in 2016. In January 2017, he won the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2017. That year, he also played on the European Tour and won the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. He also won the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai that year.
In July 2020, he won the Memorial Tournament, beating Ryan Palmer by three strokes. This win helped propel him to the World’s No.1 spot in the rankings. A few months later, he paired up with Ryan Palmer and won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
His first big win came in 2020 when he won the BMW Championship. Less than a year later, he won the 2021 US Open, beating Louis Oosthuizen. In 2022, he won the Mexico Open.
After exceptional form in early 2023, he won The Masters by four shots from Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson. Rahm became the first European to win both the US Open and Masters, while he was the fourth Spaniard to wear the green jacket.
