He is popular in his swashbuckling style and being able to make a shot from almost any angle. His exceptional skills in playing golf earned him the title as the “Car Park Champion” during the British Open in 1979. This was the time when a native from Pedrena found a green at the parking lot near the 16th fairway of the Royal Lytham and Saint Anne’s. The incident paved the way to his first major title.
Being the five time major winner he is now into the greatest challenge off course. Jose Maria Olazabal, a former Ryder Cup partner, visited Seve and claimed that his partner seem to be in good physical shape but is saddened with his condition.
