Tiger Woods’ daughter Sam will soon be a doting elder sister. The Woods family is excited about a second child, as an addition to the young family will make the cozy threesome a wonderful foursome.
On his website, Tiger Woods informed his fans that the baby will de due in late winter, with no specific date declared. The news of his wife Elin’s pregnancy is a welcome breather for the champion golfer, who will have to forego winning titles this year due to a knee injury.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren met in 2001 at the British Open held at the Royal Lytham in England. Although Elin was working as an au pair to Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, it was Tiger Woods who swept her off her feet. Two years later, the then 27-year-old ace golfer proposed to then 23-year-old model Elin while on a safari vacation at South African Shamwari Game Reserve. On October 5, 2004, Tiger tied the knot with Elin in front of a hundred and fifty guests, among them Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan and Bill Gates. Golf fans and critics feared that Tiger Woods would lose his golf magic after the wedding, but the fears were for naught as Tiger won championships one after the other, his new status as a married man clearly inspiring his sport rather than degenerating it.
Their first child, Sam Alexis Woods, was born in 2007, a few days after Woods won the 2007 US Open.
