I was just reading that the South Africa national cricket team might be losing some serious revenue, either current now or in the near future as they had "lost their golden duck". Funny article but it got me thinking, if thats the case how soon are we going to see this come about?

I am really surprised with the economy the way it is that we are not seeing more teams having revenue problems. I know that most leagues are not necessarily hurting for money but the economy has to be hurting ticket sales which cuts down on the team revenue.

I think that football (soccer) will suffer more than sports like cricket. Footie is just so over stretched-basically living on loans and eating into future income. I'm surprised the whole premier league hasn't folded in this last year.
