Napoli ruled under Maradona's reign. Basically the world's best football player of all time ran the team as a one-man show. He incredibly made sure that Gli Azzuri secured two Serie A titles, two second places, one Cup win (double that year) and one UEFA Cup trophy during his time with the team. Unbelievable for a team from the South.

Yes, it was great to see such a fabulous player in a club of that stature. Zola and Careca helped him out quite a bit as well of course. The club's demise really began after they had left and the team had won the Supercoppa Italiana.

But their back on the rise now. Only one loss so far this season. And the draw against Genoa, resulted in getting promoted to Serie A. Edoardo Reja has gotten them this far, maybe he can bring Napoli back to glory

This looks to be one hell of a year for Napoli. They're doing great so far, and I imagine they'll be having a strong finish as well. Will we see another reign? I think we may.
