Gautam Gambhir Reprimanded

Delhi Daredevils capitan Gautam Gambhir has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct after his team's victory over Rajasthan Royals. Do you think that the IPL Code of Conduct is rather stiff? Do you suggest any modification in the IPL Code of Conduct? I am looking forward to a well thought out discussion on the subject.

What I have found from doing a few searches on this matter is that Gambhir was reprimanded for calling another team "ordinary". Is that all? The IPL reprimands players for hurting someone's feelings? I guess they have nothing better to do.

I think the rules are based on the culture of the region. India is still strict when it comes to following rules. The players will just have to obey or else they will reprimanded or be fined if they keep doing it.

I'm sure you are right, observer. I am not real knowledgeable when it comes to Indian culture but I do know that the Indians which I have met seem to place a high regard on respect for the individual.
