Can Pettite break his own record?

His next start is against the Mets (Santana is pitching for the Meta) so yes he will break his record. The Mets are horrible.

Its nice to break a record but breaking one that you set yourself seems like a harder internal struggle that some tend to deal with. I think its going to be very interesting, esp. if he comes close but misses the chance to bet it.

Darn. He did not break the record. I am actually shocked because the New York Mets suck! I know this because I am a Mets fan.

Back in 97, he had a shutout streak for 23 straight innings. He's up to 19 in a row as of Sunday - anyone think he will beat his record?

I didn't realize who they were playing next. I have to agree with you that he most likely will way beat the record then. I don't think the Mets have anyone who can stand up to him.
