It is a pity that Joba has to be with his ailing father at this critical time in the Yankee schedule. One can only hope that his father will make a speedy recovery and will be able to cheer on his son and his dangerous fastballs.

It is not all bad news. It is reported thaHarlan Chamberlain is still in critical condition, but stable. The other good news is that with Joba absent, Kyle Farnsworth stepped up to the mound in the 8th, threw like it was the biggest game of his career, and secured a win agaist the Rays

I don't think that this is looking to be one of those championship years for the Yankees, but who really knows about that anymore? Almost nothing would really surprise me these days. Hopefully Joba is back as soon as he can be.

Well, it doesn't look good for Kyle now. He's been suspended for three games. He states the ball slipped out of his hands but he's been found guilty of intentionally throwing the ball at a left fielder. Man oh man.
