Thank God Derek is back. He had suffered from a strained quadriceps muscle injury and was out for 6 games - but he has come roaring back.

I am sure he was missed by many loyal fans. I do wonder how well he will do after this injury though. Seems some players do healing okay after a tumble, but others push themselves too early.

The Yanks are definitely not the yanks without Jeter these days. Sometimes I think the game is only an excuse to posture and put on a show for the fans. The players are all amazing, but some days its less about the game. Glad to see him back in the game.

What's the deal with Derek Jeter's injury? Anyone know how long he's going to be out with it? I don't really keep up with the Yankees but I heard last week he was injured.

The Yankees definitely need Derek Jeter, and I think the man himself is all too aware of that fact.
That said, i'm not really a big fan of his...but there is little doubt that the Yankees greatly benefit by his presence.
