The Deccan Chargers were supported by 1000s of Indian fans who traveled over 5000 miles to cheer on their team. Their trip was not in vain. The Chargers triumphed over the Nashau Titans.
I think all teams like it when their fans show out but you gotta give it up, any fan that travels thousands of miles to a game is a good fan. I wish I could see some of the games but my travel funds are not that fat anymore after having some kids.
Wow - I can't imagine traveling 5,000 miles for any sporting event except maybe the Olympics. Even then, I doubt that I would ever go to such lengths. That is certainly a rabid fan, though. Chargers did rise to the occasion, too.
I think most who travel that far are doing it for something like the Olympics since its not something that happens every year, and so many other players are involved in (not just 1 or 2 teams). I would be tempted if I had the extra funds.
