I have to agree. I don't understand this one. The only logical reason I can come up with is that the are too afraid of Tendulkar to even write his name down.

Yea but for some reason it just does not add up. If someone has too many thoughts on something that could be voted for, and possibility change the things now that might be wrong, then there is just something fishy about the mess.

Maybe it comes down to an attitude thing, and they simply like Kevin more because of how he handles himself. Otherwise, yes I would agree that this looks a little wrong, but ultimately they are the ones who work alongside (or against) these guys so one would assume that they know them a little better than we do.

I could see it having more to do with respect. I think that perhaps Pietersen got their votes not necessarily because he played a better game than Tendulkar but instead because the Aussies have more respect for his game play.

Respect does go a long way and so does how one carries themselves, but at the same time respect needs given where its due. And if anything, at least an explanation of why the choice was made would be nice for fans that wonder.

Yeah but I would imagine that a vote like this would be anonymous-and hence it is unlikely that it would be deemed ok to ask for explanations from each voter. I think we'll just never know.
