I know he has been playing for at least a decade since I have heard about him. I think he had played for afew teams as when I started to watch he was playing with Hampshire back then.
I don't know how he compares to other cricketers but there is a good stats table on wiki for him. I know he holds some Australian records, and is a pretty aggressive player.
So would you go up against him being that aggressive? I am sure there are others that may come to mind but would they be that much harder to beat or no?
I'm not sure who I'd compare him to. Although he's an incredible batsman, his form is actually pretty lousy overall. Look at back a few years ago, I think it was 2004? Really bad season then. He's come back nicely from that, though.
Well, they don't all have to be all rounders. As long as they have a talent that is strong enough to keep their place on the team, the rest of the team should make up for their weaknesses.
Not too sure on this one, he is pretty quick when he needs to be. Though they always say that you might be big another is bigger, and if you are quicker, there is always another quicker.
Whilst this is true, they may not all live in the same time period, and I think that is the important thing! You cannot be beaten by someone who hasn't been born yet.
That's true, Joseph. And you're only the best until someone better comes along. It is great though that Hayden has been able to stay on top as long as he has.
One cannot dodge the fact that Hayden is one phenomenal cricketer, especiall his batting and to a lesser extent his fielding. Still I have to temper his greatness by the fact that he is playing at a time when the competition gainst Australia is not all that.
