Despite 5,000 signatures requesting Figo to play on Portugal National Team, he made up his mind that he will not play anymore and that is final. This would really disappoint a lot of fans but we should honor his decision and I think it is also good for him to just rest from playing football.

Well anyway, Figo made his mind to retire so lets just give him what he wants.
I think its better to call it quits before you end up with some type of injury that will end up being stuck with you for the rest of your life. I love some things in life, but not enough to get some of the injuries I have seen players get.
They always say absence makes the heart grow fonder, perhaps a break is just what he needs to decide to come back and play better then ever. Until then he can get a bit of a break.
