Why do I live in the states, on the east coast, and have never ever heard about this team? Its not like the state is far from mine, maybe a couple over. Anyone want to bring me up to speed while I poke around and see what I can find out?
Soccer, being a small time pro sport in the US, doesn't get the coverage it needs to succeed. The reason you haven't heard about the Chicago Fire is that the East Coast has DC United, the best soccer team in the History of the MLS, The NY/NJ Red Bulls and the New England Revolution. The rest of the league sits in small cities in states that don't have national followings.
Telemundo shows alot of soccer. You just need to be able to understand Spanish. The MLS has a package on Direct TV. I don't get it since I get the NFL package, but I hear it's pretty good.
if you have a satellite dish there is plenty of soccer, domestic and international to be had. The MS suffeers from players leaving at various times during the season to go play for the international teams....consistency is a problem. That and the fact that half the teams are owned by one owner.
Many of the channels seem to cut out during the games I want to watch, and its usually when it storms here. I think I just have some bad luck running lately,
that is the problem with a dish...bad weather will cost you reception, which is not the case for cable. I still prefer the dish just for the better service and channel options. There are many soccer channels on the directv sports package.
