Tonight starts Game 1 of the Western Conference SemiFinals between the Colorado Avalanche and the Detroit Red Wings.
As long as the Avs have been around these teams have been great rivals. I look forward to the series.
I don't think it's going to be much of a series. The Avs lost to the Wings all 4 games of the regular season. 3 of which were shut outs. The Red Wings shouldn't have a problem wrapping the series up.
It's already 2-0 in favor of the Red Wings and things don't look too good for the Avs. Things are even worst with Forsberg on the bench nursing his groin, but they can't afford to rush him into play either.
Seriously, it seems like the Avs cannot catch a break in this series. You're right, looks like Detroit is well on their way to sweeping this series. Unless the Avs can pull it a win on Thursday - doubtful.
