Does it look like Michael Vick will be suspended for the dogfighting? What a weird thing for an NFL quarterback to be involved in.

The Falcons had decided to suspend him but the NFL told them to hold off until the charges had been properly investigated. My bet is the Falcons will not want him back after this.

Yeah, his behavior is totally unacceptable. Imagine he is their star player. A guy in that position should be a role model and show the utmost of decency.

Yup - no doubt. Too bad for the Falcons, Vick is their most important player, when he signed in 2004 it was the biggest contract in NFL history. Harrington is going to have a very hard time as starting QB.

There will be a trial on November 26th. The NFL wanted Atlanta to keep Vick off the training camp but hold measures. Looks like they will have to do without him for sure.

To be honest,I never liked Vick to begin with. While he isn't a bad player, I still think he was over-rated, and I just never cared for him on or off field. As for the charges against him, I believe he's at least partially guilty.

If Vick's suspended or jailed, the Falcons can kiss goodbye any hopes for a Superbowl, or even playoff's. The guy's a moron, but the Falcons are screwed without him. Sorry to be so blunt, but it's just what I think.

If he's found guilty, I think he should be banned from ever playing again. Athletes should at least try to set good examples for the simple reason that so many children look up to them. I'm not saying they should be perfect. They are just human, but dog fighting? Come on. At least pretend to be civilized.

I hope Vick faces the consequences, as much as possible. What he did was completely cruel and he deserves to be punished. His respect around the league is lost, and I think it'd benefit even him not to return.

Obviously I don't support this at all, but my question is, although the thing he did was disgusting and outright wrong, shouldn't they keep it out of his job area - that's unless they give him jailtime?

Lately, the NFL is trying to make its image better by having being firm on its players. Not even one of the best player like Vick can escape this firmness that the NFL have setup. I think it is also good for sports like this to have players that are good in playing football as well as having a good reputation in the society.
