I've only ever watched real madrid a couple of times, both when i was in spain, so how good are they?
heard alot about them though

An amazingly talented team, with an excellent past and promising future. Definitely one of the best out there, despite recent setbacks.

How good are they? Real Madrid is considered to be the the scale of the other teams in La Liga. If any team will face Real Madrid, that means they have done their best in order to face Real Madrid.

Well they are one of the tops always mentioned during betting and drinking nights if that tells you much. I think they have a good mix of players, some could be traded off though.
