The powerful, free-spending side is the team to beat in the European Champions League, as at least one opponent freely acknowledges.
That is what I read in todays online subscription to the LA times website (I just moved from there recently). I really do not think anyone can debate this either, even with bad luck sometimes RM comes out on top quicker than any other team might me.

Oh yea I don't think it can be argued. Real Madrid is the most watched team by many people and with good reason. They have some of the best tactics and their players are "the best of the best" when they put their mind to it and get the job done, which is what they normally do.

Yes, they do have the best tactics and their players are the best of the best. They also are the richest team. I would suppose the former has some correlation with their top notch tactics and top notch players. Just an assumption. :)
