I understand he's really good at passing and whatnot, but doesn't his many suspensions send up a red flag on his ability to help the team? He wants to come, of course, saying it would be a dream come true.

They might have a plan for him to strengthen his weaknesses to help the team out. When I hear things like this I try and stay optimistic until of course you can see the real reasons why.

It sure does raise that red flag. Still I think he is good enough to overlook those problems, hoping all the time that he has learned his lessons by now and wants to play for a great team.

I think it's a big risk because these guys never learn. To Arshavin's credit though, he is a pretty good player and will be an asset on the field.

There might be something that they can do to deal with his anger issues perhaps. Certainly I would think they would have to try and address it, otherwise they are just asking for trouble.

I wonder if this comes back to bite the current owners for when they plan on trading him out. Who wants someone that will causes that much commotion?

It would tell me that he can not follow authority very well and many players are like that but can find a balance between being over the edge and staying in line when needed. I'm not sure this guy could do that.

Could they have other plans for him? Do they think perhaps that he could be of use coaching others? Has anything been said to address this fear?

How many second changes has this guy gotten? If its more than 2 then yes its a so so call as to if he is worth the effort or not. If its his first that is fully different.

He's now been quoted as hoping his 'whining' will help move the deal along, and get him to Spurs. All told I really don't like this guy.

He either needs to grow up and play for the team or go back to school and play with the kids. Actually, no, I wouldn't want that type of example playing with my kids.

Yeah I agree that he does need to deal with his anger issues, but I think that some sort of counselling might be more to the point rather than just growing up. I know some pretty angry adults unfortunately.
