it's a tough spot to be in. Players routinely leave their club team when there are international matches to be played. But according to espn.com, FC Barcelona has asked two of its top players not to play in the African Cup in january

Any idea why? That seems a little weird to me, just to ask and then nothing more, something smells fishy.
