Looks like he's staying

After much speculation about where Alonso will end up in 2009, he just announced a couple days ago that he is "99% sure" that he'll stay with Renault for at least one more year. The final announcement will come after Brazil.

I'm sure Renault is very happy with that decision. They would be losing a very valuable driver if he decided to leave. Or course, there's still that 1% chance until after Brazil this weekend.

There are so many people trying to see what his plans are its almost crazy here for some friends of mine. We all have bets going to see what his plans are but he is keeping tight lips sealed...

Who wants to talk odds on him not staying? I always worry that when someone says 99% they really have no idea and are just trying to smooth over the fans.
