Sure, Alonso is another of those young Turks nipping at Schumacher's heels. The competition is a hot one though with a lot of others wanting their share of the pie.
The whole sport has changed so much, with so much new resources thrown in. For example, the new tracks are awesome and with these ultra fast cars, the new breed of drivers have to be extremely skillful. I wonder how Schumacher would fare today?
With his talent and natural skill, I believe he would do just fine. Schumi loved racing so much he would have made any of the necessary adjustments to continue. But Alonso is one of those who would definitely have given him a run for his money.
There is something in his eyes and soul that makes him do what he does best or better yet help him do what he does best. I could see this one being the name in every house around the world that loves this sport so much.
