Chelsea started out well last year too and then struggled at the end of the season. Now this year there is a transfers ban in place too so there will be no fresh talent. Can they maintain their stamina this year?

They say for racing its not always the car, its the driver. If this team can manage to keep the stamina they do have, without the need to add or omit to their team they might do just fine.

I do not have one, oopsies?

I think the current players may get tired and burned out midway and the ban could have a huge affect on them towards the end of the season. Personally, I hope it does affect them, it would prove a good point.

The ban can affect them either negatively or positively. Without any possible player change in the next 18 months, they will have to make good use of the existing players. They will be stuck with each other. It can positively affect integrity or the team.

I think that "burned out" is a good way to put things and I am sure it will cause some stress on everyones side but at the same time, those who can stick this out might end up doing better in the long run. Really, would you want someone impatient and grumpy on your team? People might think about that next time trades are open.

I think I would enjoy that as well. It would go to show a lot of what I have been saying for too long-that its no longer about the game or the talent, but the money. Unfortunately the ban may work one of two ways-it will either let them build up enough money that they go nuts with the purchases when they can, or else they suck so bad that the fans stop going and they end up broke ;) Either way it will be an interesting period.

I think it is probably going to affect them negatively, but I think it will put some stress on several teams not just Chelsea. It will definitely pose a challenge for all of the teams.

Why would it affect other teams? The ban was on Chelsea only making transfers in that particular window. It was done because they used tactics that are considered unfair in order to win over a new player.

I didn't realize that the ban was just on Chelsea. I thought you were talking about a ban for all teams that had been passed that I had not heard about yet.
