Yes, well shaking off a fall from the slide is one thing. Shaking off a sprained hip or some such injury is a reinjury waiting to happen.

It makes me wonder if the people that write this stuff have ever had any major or even semi major injuries. The day I can shake off a hip issue, well thats going to put many doctors that do hip replacments out of biz!

What? I just keep hearing some of the crazy things about sports injuries lately. A qoute from the story "Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects Wayne Rooney to shake off a hip problem in time for the trip to Barcelona". I really hope its just a bruise or something easy, most times I am aware you cant just shake that sort of thing off.

That's hilarious. My children are grown now but remember my remedies when they were children. "Drink some peppermint tea." "Put some aloe vera on it." And the number one all time groaner - "Shake it off." Wow. But they admit even today that they ALL worked. :-)

I read a couple stories about it. It really does seem to me that the injury is no big deal just as the writers and coach say. We'll see.

I've read the stories about this and really don't think this is anything approaching a hip sprain. It sounds like a bone bruise or just a deep muscle bruise. He's real tough I think he will just 'shake it off'.
