Ahmad Bradshaw

Ahmad Bradshaw is an American former professional football running back who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants, and one of the most respected big-game backfield anchors of his generation.

Player Profile, High School, and College Career

Ahmad Bradshaw was born on March 19, 1986, in Bluefield, Virginia, United States of America. The running back stands 178 cm tall, and his playing weight was listed at 98 kg.

He attended Graham High School in Bluefield, where he put together a dazzling multi-sport athletic resume. Committing to Marshall University, Bradshaw starred for the Thundering Herd from 2004 to 2006. Bradshaw wrapped up his stellar collegiate tenure with consecutive All-Conference USA selections before deciding to declare early for the professional ranks.

Professional Career

Bradshaw was selected by the New York Giants in the seventh round (250th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Entering his rookie season deep on the depth chart, Bradshaw exploded onto the national radar late in the 2007 campaign. He provided a vital change-of-pace spark alongside Brandon Jacobs, culminating in a spectacular postseason run. In Super Bowl XLII, Bradshaw stepped up as the game's leading rusher, helping the Giants orchestrate one of the greatest upsets in sports history over the previously undefeated New England Patriots.

He soon formed one half of the Giants' famous "Earth, Wind, and Fire" backfield trio, turning in back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons in 2010 and 2011. Bradshaw's definitive career milestone arrived during the 2011 postseason, where he once again spearheaded New York's ground game.

In Super Bowl XLVI, he earned a unique place in football lore by scoring the game-winning touchdown, accidentally falling backward into the end zone while attempting to stop himself at the one-yard line to waste clock. He finished as the game's leading rusher yet again.

With that performance, he became one of only eight running backs in NFL history to lead his team in rushing across two separate Super Bowls.

In 2013, Bradshaw signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

When healthy, he was an incredibly efficient asset for Andrew Luck, notoriously catching six receiving touchdowns in just ten games across his final two seasons.

In his post-football life, Bradshaw has focused his energy on youth athletic development and community mentorship.

He routinely returns to his native Virginia and across the tri-state area to host localized football clinics, teaching next-generation players the technical nuances of pass protection, leverage, and the mental discipline required to excel from the bottom of a professional depth chart.
