Larry Izzo

Linebacker Lawrence Alexander Izzo plays for the NFL's New York Jets. Larry, who played his college ball at Rice, was signed as an undrafted free agent in 1996 by the Miami Dolphins. Izzo, who is 5-foot-10 and 228 pounds, played from 1996 to 2000 with the Miami Dolphins. Since 2001, the linebacker has been with the New England Patriots.

Izzo has been a Pro Bowl selection player for three times (2000, 2002, 2004) and has played on three Super Bowl Championship teams (2001, 2003, 2004). In 12 years of his football career, the incredibly durable linebacker has played in 172 regular season contests making 206 tackles with 171 of those solo bring downs.

Izzo has primarily played as a backup and on special teams. He has an active motor, fine quickness and good athleticism. Although undersized, he's a tough competitor. On special teams, he's got the balance and agility to make plays in the open field. He has more special teams tackles than any active NFL player and has not missed a game since 2002.
