Wesley Britt is an American former professional football tackle and current political lobbyist who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New England Patriots. He is married to United States Senator Katie Britt.

Wesley Britt was born on November 21, 1981, in Cullman, Alabama, United States of America. The massive offensive tackle stands 203 cm tall, and played at a listed weight of 136 kg.He attended Cullman High School, where he established himself as a dominant presence on the offensive line. Committing to his home-state University of Alabama, Britt played college football for the Crimson Tide.
He became a multi-year starter and anchor of the offensive line. As a senior in 2004, his outstanding play earned him Third-team All-American honors, his third consecutive First-team All-SEC selection, and the prestigious Jacobs Blocking Trophy, which is awarded to the SEC's top offensive lineman.
Professional Career
Britt was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round (167th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft.Although he was released by the Chargers before the start of his rookie regular season, he quickly found a home with the New England Patriots, initially joining their practice squad in 2005. He successfully made the Patriots' active roster in 2006, serving as a reliable rotational tackle and providing depth along the offensive front.
He played in 16 career games for New England, making two starts, before concluding his professional playing career following the 2008 season.
Post-Playing Career and Personal Life
Following his retirement from professional football, Britt transitioned into the corporate and political spheres. He initially worked as an economic development representative with Alabama Power.Britt is married to Katie Boyd Britt, who was elected to the United States Senate from Alabama in 2022.
