Tucker Addington is a professional American football player who plays as a long snapper in the National Football League (NFL). Best known for his journeyman career providing reliable snapping depth, he currently plays for the Miami Dolphins and has previously spent time with multiple NFL franchises, including the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders, as well as the Houston Gamblers of the USFL.

Tucker Addington was born on July 16, 1997, in New Braunfels, Texas, United States of America. The Long Snapper stands 188 cm tall, and his weight was last listed at 104 kg.He attended Canyon High School in his hometown, where he was a two-year starter on the football team and also competed in track and field as a discus thrower. Following his high school graduation, he committed to Sam Houston State University. He played for the Bearkats from 2016 to 2019, where he honed his highly specialized skills as a collegiate long snapper.
Professional Career
Addington went undrafted during the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent the following two seasons out of professional football, working to stay in shape by coaching at the Texas Long Snapping camp.In 2022, his professional career officially began when he was selected in the sixth round of the USFL supplemental draft by the Houston Gamblers. He appeared in all ten of their games during the 2022 season. Later that year, in October 2022, he signed his first NFL contract to join the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys. After a brief stint in Dallas, he was signed to the active roster of the New England Patriots in December 2022 following an injury to their starting long snapper, Joe Cardona.
Addington made his official NFL debut in Week 16 of the 2022 season against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Since his NFL debut, Addington has served as a highly sought-after depth piece and injury replacement at the long snapper position across the league. He has had stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders, Houston Texans, and Pittsburgh Steelers, alongside a return stint to the Patriots. In March 2026, he signed his most recent contract to return to the Miami Dolphins.
