Davon Godchaux is an active American professional football player who plays as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Best known for his strong run-stopping abilities on the interior defensive line, he currently plays for the New Orleans Saints following prominent multi-year stints with the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.

Davon Montel Godchaux was born on November 11, 1994, in Plaquemine, Louisiana, USA. The Defensive Tackle stands 191 cm tall, and his weight was last listed at 150 kg.He attended Plaquemine Senior High School in his hometown, where he was a highly touted four-star prospect. He was named an All-State defensive lineman as a junior. Despite suffering a torn ACL in the season opener of his senior year, he was still honored as a U.S. Army All-American.
Following high school, he chose to play college football for the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers over several other major offers. He was a steady force in LSU's 3-4 defense, taking over as a starter during his 2014 true freshman season and going on to start 26 games over his three-year collegiate career before declaring for the NFL Draft.

Godchaux has a son from a previous relationship. In 2022, he began dating former fashion model Chanel Iman. The couple welcomed a daughter, Capri, in September 2023, and officially married in early 2024.Professional Career
Godchaux turned pro in 2017 and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, making him the 178th overall pick.He proved to be a highly reliable late-round selection for Miami, becoming a consistent starter on their defensive line for his first three seasons. During the 2020 season, his final year with the Dolphins, he was briefly placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list before suffering an injury that landed him on injured reserve by October.
In March 2021, Godchaux entered free agency and signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots. He became a staple of the Patriots' defensive front, establishing himself as a premier run-stuffer. The Patriots rewarded his steady play with multiple contract extensions, including a two-year, $16.5 million extension in July 2024. Following the 2024 season, Godchaux was traded to his home-state New Orleans Saints in March 2025.
