He attended Warren G. Harding High School in his home state. Following graduation, Bowden committed to play for the University of Kentucky from 2017 to 2019. During his time with the Wildcats, his elite athleticism allowed him to excel in multiple roles, even serving as the team's starting quarterback for seven games during his junior year.

In 2019, his breakout season earned him recognition as a Consensus All-American and he was awarded the prestigious Paul Hornung Award as the nation's most versatile player.

Professional Career

He was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2020 NFL Draft. They picked him in round 3 and he was the 80th overall selection.

During his professional career, he was traded before his rookie season began and debuted in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, where he played until 2022. He subsequently spent time on the rosters of the New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints.

After short offseason stints with the DC Defenders and the Canadian Football League's BC Lions in 2025, he transitioned to the United Football League (UFL). He joined the Louisville Kings for their 2026 season, where he continues his professional career today.
