Quincy Williams is an American professional football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Best known for his explosive hitting, remarkable development, and infectious personality on and off the field, he earned First-team All-Pro honors during a breakout stint with the New York Jets. He currently plays for the Cleveland Browns.

Quincy Williams was born on August 28, 1996, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States of America. The Linebacker stands 180 cm tall, and his weight was last listed at 104 kg.He attended Wenonah High School in Birmingham. Following high school, he played college football for the Murray State Racers from 2014 to 2018. During his collegiate career, he developed into a versatile and hard-hitting defensive standout.
As a senior, his dominant play drew the attention of NFL scouts, ultimately making him the highest draft pick in Murray State's program history.
Personal Life
Williams comes from a football family and is the older brother of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.In October 2021, the brothers made NFL history by becoming the first pair of siblings to each record a sack in the same game while playing for the same team.
Off the field, he is known for his fun-loving and colorful personality—famously arriving at a 2025 "Gotham City" themed game in full Joker makeup—and recently became a father after welcoming his daughter.
Professional Career
Williams turned pro in 2019 and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the NFL Draft, making him the 98th overall pick. After spending his first two seasons in Jacksonville, he was waived in 2021.He was subsequently claimed off waivers by the New York Jets, a move that would define his career. In New York, he developed into one of the league's most feared off-ball linebackers. He recorded 100-plus tackles in four consecutive seasons from 2021 to 2024.
His peak season came in 2023, when he was named a First-team All-Pro—becoming the only defensive player since 2000 to achieve that honor after joining a team via a waiver claim—and won the Jets' Curtis Martin Team MVP award.
Despite dealing with nagging shoulder and hand injuries during his 2025 campaign, he still managed 83 tackles and a career-high 3.5 sacks in 13 games for the Jets.
Entering free agency, Williams signed a two-year contract with the Cleveland Browns in March 2026, stepping into a starting linebacker role for the franchise.
