Tyler Conklin is an active American professional football tight end for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He has also played for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and Los Angeles Chargers.

Tyler Conklin was born on July 30, 1995, in Chesterfield, Michigan, United States of America. The tight end stands 191 cm tall, and plays at a listed weight of 112 kg.He attended L'Anse Creuse North High School in Macomb Township, Michigan. Conklin's collegiate athletic journey began on the hardwood, as he initially played one season of college basketball at Northwood University in 2013. He subsequently transferred to Central Michigan University, shifting his focus to college football for the Chippewas from 2014 to 2017.
Professional Career
Conklin was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.He spent the first four seasons of his professional career in Minnesota, steadily developing from a depth piece and blocking tight end into a primary receiving target. Following his stint with the Vikings, he signed with the New York Jets, where he spent three productive seasons (2022–2024) as a dependable fixture in their passing game.
After spending the 2025 season with the Los Angeles Chargers, Conklin signed with his home-state Detroit Lions ahead of the 2026 season.
