Tanner Conner is an active American professional football tight end for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Miami Dolphins.

Player Profile, High School, and College Career

Tanner Conner was born on March 20, 1998, in Kent, Washington, USA. The athletic tight end stands 191 cm tall, and plays at a listed weight of 105 kg.

He attended Kentridge High School in his hometown, where he was a multi-sport athlete competing in football, basketball, and track and field. Notably, he won the state championship in the 300-meter hurdles during his senior year.

Originally recruited to run track, Conner committed to Idaho State University before being offered the opportunity to play football as well.

Playing for the Bengals from 2016 to 2021, Conner developed into a standout wide receiver. He earned First-team All-Big Sky honors in 2020, and Second-team All-Big Sky honors in 2021.

Throughout his time at Idaho State, he also remained an active member of the track and field team, competing as a hurdler and sprinter.

Professional Career

Conner went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft but was quickly signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.

Given his impressive size and exceptional athletic profile, the Dolphins transitioned him from a collegiate wide receiver to an NFL tight end. He made Miami's initial 53-man roster as a rookie in 2022. Over his four seasons with the Dolphins, he primarily contributed on special teams and served as a depth piece at tight end, fluctuating between the active roster and the practice squad.

Through the 2025 season with Miami, he recorded 12 career receptions for 107 yards.

In December 2025, Conner was released by the Dolphins and promptly signed to the New York Giants' practice squad. Following the conclusion of the regular season, he signed a reserve/future contract with the Giants in January 2026, looking to secure a spot on their active roster for the upcoming year.
