Damar Hamlin

Damar Hamlin is a professional American Football player from the United States of America. He plays in the National Football League for the Buffalo Bills. He also used to play collegiate football for the University of Pittsburg.

Damar Romeyelle Hamlin was born on March 24, 1998, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. He stands 183 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 91 kg. He is a safety.

He attended Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Later, he attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2016 to 2020. While there, he was named to the 2020 Second-team All-ACC.

Professional Career

He joined the NFL in 2021 and was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 6th round of the draft. He was the 212th overall pick. He later signed his four-year rookie contract with the team in May 2021.

In January 2023, Hamlin collapsed on the field after he tacked Tee Higgins. He required emergency attention since he suffered a cardiac arrest following a seemingly routine tackle. He was brought to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. A week after the incident, he was released from the hospital.

He made a special appearance during Super Bown LVII. Also in 2023, he received the NFLPA Alan Page Community Award.
