He later committed to play college football for the University of Central Florida from 2017 to 2019. While in college, he was named to the 2018 Second-team All-ACC team and the 2019 First-team All-ACC, and the PFF Third-Team All-American.

Davis joined the NFL in 2020 when he was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round. He was the 128th overall pick of the draft.He initially signed a four-year contract with the team worth a reported US$3.99 Million.
