Demario Davis

Demario Davis is an American football player who plays professionally in the National Football League. Since 2018, he has played for the New Orleans Saints. Davis has also played for the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets. In 2021, he received the Bart Starr Award.

Player Profile, High School, and College Career

Demario Davis was born on January 11, 1989, in Collins, Mississippi. An inside linebacker, he stands 188 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 112 kg. He attended Brandon High School. While there, he played basketball and track in addition to football. As a high school footballer, he mostly played wide receiver. He committed to the University of Arkansas.

Professional Career

He was drafted into the NFL by the New York Jets during the 2012 NFL Draft. He was the 77th overall pick and was the 10th linebacker to be selected during that draft. They signed him in May 2012 and he debuted for them in September. He was with the Jets through to 2015 when he became a free agent. He was later signed by the Cleveland Browns.

He spent just a year with the Browns before moving back to play with the Jets for another year. When he became an unrestricted free agent again, he signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2017. His career took off while he was with the Saints. In 2019, he was named to the First-team All-Pro. And in 2020 and 2021, he was named to the Second-team All-Pro. Also, in 2021, he was awarded the Bart Starr Award.
