Justin Herbert is an American football player who has been playing in the National Football League for the Los Angeles Chargers since 2020. In his rookie year, he was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career in 2021. He holds the NFL record for the most passing touchdowns by a rookie quarterback with 31.

Justin Patrick Herbert was born on March 10, 1998, in Eugene, Oregon. He stands 198 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 108 kg. The quarterback attended Sheldon High School where he not only played football but baseball and basketball as well. His recruitment was complicated after he broke his leg when he was a junior.He committed to play for the University of Oregon where he stayed from 2016 to 2019. While in college, he was named an Academic All-American from 2017 to 2019. For two years, from 2018 to 2019, he was named to the Football Academic All-America of the Year. In 2019, he was awarded the William V Campbell Trophy.
Professional Career
He was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers during the 2020 NFL Draft and was the sixth overall pick of the draft. He signed a four-year contract with the team. In his rookie year, he was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. He was also named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.In 2021, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career. In addition to holding the record for the most passing touchdowns by a rookie quarterback, he is also the first quarterback in the history of the Chargers franchise to throw for at least 5,000 yards.
