Corey Clement is an American professional football running back who has played in the National Football League (NFL). Emerging as an undrafted free agent, he quickly etched his name into Philadelphia Eagles franchise history as a critical offensive weapon during his rookie season.

He helped them secure their first world championship in Super Bowl LII.

He attended Glassboro High School in his hometown, where he developed into a standout athlete on the gridiron. Committing to the University of Wisconsin, Clement played college football for the Badgers from 2013 to 2016.

Operating in a highly physical, run-heavy offensive scheme, he proved to be a durable and effective ball carrier. His collegiate career culminated in a stellar 2016 senior campaign, earning him Second-team All-Big Ten honors and putting him on the radar of NFL scouts.

Professional Career

Clement went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft but was quickly signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent.

He successfully fought his way onto the Eagles' active roster as a rookie, providing vital depth as a runner, pass-catcher, and core special teams player. His rookie campaign reached its absolute peak on the biggest stage imaginable during Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots.

In the high-scoring affair, Clement recorded 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. Most famously, he was a key component in executing the iconic "Philly Special" trick play, taking the direct snap and flipping the ball to Trey Burton, who subsequently threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles. The Eagles ultimately won the game, securing a championship ring for Clement in his debut season.

Clement spent four total seasons in Philadelphia before transitioning into a journeyman backup role across the league. He spent the 2021 season with the Dallas Cowboys, providing depth to their backfield, and later signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

He has also spent time on the practice squads for the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens. He retired in 2023.
