D.J. Chark is an American former professional football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He has played most of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, before jumping around the league.

Darrell Demont "D.J." Chark, Jr. was born on September 23, 1996, in Alexandria, Louisiana, USA. The wide receiver stands 191 cm tall, and played at a listed weight of 90 kg.He attended Alexandria Senior High School, where he excelled as both a football player and a track athlete. Utilizing his impressive speed, he drew interest from multiple major programs. He committed to Louisiana State University (LSU), playing for the Tigers from 2014 to 2017.
Earning the nickname "The Flash" for his blazing speed, Chark developed into a reliable weapon during his upperclassman years, catching 40 passes for 874 yards and three touchdowns as a senior in 2017.
Professional Career
Chark was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round (61st overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.After a quiet rookie year, Chark exploded onto the scene during the 2019 season. Establishing himself as one of the league's most dangerous vertical threats, he recorded 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns, earning his first and only Pro Bowl selection.
He spent four seasons as a primary offensive weapon in Jacksonville before entering free agency in 2022.
Seeking new opportunities, Chark spent the next three seasons on a series of one-year contracts. He provided veteran receiving depth and deep-threat capability for the Detroit Lions in 2022, the Carolina Panthers in 2023, and the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024.
He briefly signed with the Atlanta Falcons ahead of the 2025 season but was released before the regular season began.
In March 2026, Chark officially announced his retirement from professional football after seven seasons in the NFL.
